The Power of Video sharing..
www.YouTube.com is the proof in the pudding that video sharing sites are a hot bed for traffic, sales and social marketing. We've all seen the funny, the sad and even the mundane video clips with on board adverts that have anywhere from a few 'views', to thousands of 'views', to millions of 'views'. Can you imagine the volume of traffic that is available to the savvy Internet Marketer?
So make your self a few amateur videos either targeted to your niche or just attractive to a broad audience, tag them with your advertising and then promote the videos through www.YouTube.com. If your videos becomes popular you could be very successful at driving traffic to your main service or offer.
One does not even have to make a video to get some of this traffic. How you ask? Well, one way is to view a bunch of videos, pick a few you like and then approach the video owners and make a deal for their video to carry your ad. You should limit your search to videos that have at least a few thousand 'views' and are growing in popularity to ensure a new audience for your ads. So if you are either shy or resistant to producing your own videos you can still grab your share of traffic using this method.
Another way to tap into this traffic source is to set up you own niche social video sharing site where you can control all the advertising and therefore drive the potential traffic to what ever niche product or service you have to offer. This method is much more time consuming to set up and will take a great deal of effort and time to develop a solid member base but once the viral effect takes place you could find your self with a substantial and loyal membership to market to.
This latter method is what I have decide to implement and to that aim I have set up a new video sharing site in the music niche.
