As a brand new member of IBS, and reading your blogs, I have noticed that there are some who are leaving money on the table when it comes to the three "Advertisement" blocks on your blog. I thought about contacting everyone, individually, but that's the beauty of having an IBS Blog, I can just blog about it.
The IBS video tutorials are great but in case you are still not sure how to place your own advertisement banners on your blog, you can follow these instructions to insure that You collect any money that will be paid out in referral commissions. This will just get you started and from here, you will know how to change them, anytime.
Six Easy Steps to Claiming Your Referral Commissions
Step 1. From the main page, when you first log in, click on "My Programs" from the second menu line, at the top.
Step 2. Choose any three affiliate programs, from the Downline Builder, to either join or if you are already an affiliate of a program listed, you may use that one. Enter your entire Affiliate URL, then click on "Update."
Important note: Make sure that the Affiliate program offers a banner that is 125x125. You will usually find these under the "Promo Tools" of the Affiliate Program. Copy and paste that banner code to notepad, or where ever you choose, as you will need it in the next step. If the affiliate program you choose to advertise does not have banners that are 125x125, choose another affiliate program, or you may add your own.
Now, you are ready to add your banner and referral links for the three Advertisement blocks on your blog.
Step 3. From the first menu line, at the top, click on "Profile." Scroll to the bottom of your profile page where you will see "Banner 1, Link 1, Banner 2, Link 2, and Banner 3, Link 3."
Step 4. Insert the Banner 1 "Image url" only. Please note, you will receive much more in the banner code than you need to use in your Profile. In the box for Banner 1, you will only need to enter the url portion for the image, itself... and nothing more.
For Example: If you are wanting to advertise Power List Marketing, you will see the code for a banner that is 125 x 125. However, the only part of the code you will need will be the Image URL, without quotes or brackets. See Below:
Step 5. Enter your entire Affiliate url (Referral Link) inside of the box for Link 1.
Step 6. Click on Save Changes, at the bottom of the page. Then View your Blog to make sure the links have been entered correctly. To test your links, just hover your mouse over the banner image, do not click, then look for the link that shows in the bottom left corner of your computer screen, right above the Start button. If you see your Affiliate link, you are in good shape! Now you can go ahead and click on the banner to make sure that it will open to the correct page.
Now that you have correctly entered the Banner Link and your Affiliate (Referral) link for the first banner, just repeat the same steps to add your second and third advertisement banners to your blog and don't forget to click on "Save Changes".
Side Note: Also, while you are on your Profile page, please add your own "Sokule Username" to your profile. Now, YOU will be the one to receive any affiliate commissions associated with your blog.
